07/05/2008  Some Good News!

Just wanted to let you know some good news...

Our debut album Concubine is now available from the leading Digital stores now.

You can download the album from iTunes stores worldwide, cool Indie store Tunetribe, and Amazon amongst others. iTunes are also selling 'One Design' as a ring tone, and furthermore, ringtones of all the songs are available over at Groupietunes - Click here to visit!

Customers of the mobile network 3, can also download some of the Mooli tunes to their phones. The tunes available are 'One Design', 'Save You', 'Awaken', 'Underneath the Same Sun' and 'Easy'.

So far the most popular tunes to be downloaded from the album in the UK, are...

1) Underneath the Same Sun
2) Time
3) San Francisco Rain
4) Reasons

It's been really heartening to see and hear some of the world's biggest DJ's playing 'Wasted' over on Youtube, including Paul Oakenfold, Erick Morillo, and Sandra Collins, in places like Pacha New York, and Vision, Chicago, and so nice to hear the crowd singing the lyrics in some of the clips. I've even seen girls quoting the line... 'wasted but you can't even see. Still obsessing about your dream and the way you look to even notice me" as a put down to guys online. Mad!!

The latest on the track, is that no official release date has been decided yet. But there should be a couple of new mixes done prior to release. We will keep you posted, but the track should definitely be coming out this summer.

Click here for some links on Youtube

We will shortly be putting up new acoustic versions of 'San Francisco Rain' and 'Underneath the Same Sun'. We've done these versions following a request from our French sub publisher. Expect to find them up sometime in the next week or so on our Myspace site.

Talking of which. Some kind, gentle soul, has managed to delete my personal myspace account, so I have had to start all over again... Charming! http://www.myspace.com/bencopland

Enjoy the rest of your week, and speak soon.

Ben & Clea :) x

07/04/2008 CANCELLATIONS... A MESSAGE FROM BEN

Hello,

It is with it is with deep regret that I have to inform you that due to unfortunate circumstances we will not be appearing live next week at the Zebra Bar or the Scala.

It is gutting, that we have had to pull out.

It is especially a shame, considering that we had a long list of influential people in the business coming down to the Scala, to see us for the first time.

They included EMI, Joss Stone and KT Tunstall's people, Ms Dynamite's former manager, Lucie Silvas and Liberty X management, Mika and The Enemy agency etc etc.

So it's very disappointing to have to pull out of these shows, cos we know how rare it is to get both genuine fans and industry people together to watch an Indie band like ourselves.

Hopefully we'll be able to reschedule shows in London and Maidstone soon.

I will be at the Zebra Bar on Wed, so if anyone wants a chat, do come and say hello.

Zebra is a great venue in Maidstone, promoted by a lovely lady called Sue, and the acts on next week include a solo performance by Ben Jones, and a funky band called Under the thumb. I've not seen Under the thumb, but Ben Jones, is very good!

I am having a well earned rest this weekend.

Have a fantastic time, whatever you get up to.

Ben :)x

PS. The deal with All around the world/ Universal for Wasted by My Digital Enemy feat Mooli, has been signed, and we should know the plans regarding remixes, promo period and release date fairly soon.

Film

It's looking likely that one of the songs from 'Concubine' is going to be featured on a new British film. We don't want to say too much about it at the moment, being slightly cagey sorts, but it's looking good at the moment. Fingers crossed and all that!

Yes it is "Easy"
Just wanted to let you know that our song 'Easy' is now the Number 1 most downloaded song from Chris Coco's Electracoustic album on Apple iTunes (UK).

Thank you very much indeed, if you are one of the people who downloaded it, and made it the most popular song from this Compilation. It means a lot to us! This is an excellent album, with quite a few major label acts, and great tunes including the tune you've no doubt been whistling along to from the Orange TV ads, so to be outselling that is no small achievement for a little indie outfit like outselves.

Easy is also now available for download from the excellent Tunetribe website. http://www.tunetribe.com/mooli.

Mooli & My Digital Enemy
Mooli have teamed up with dance producers My Digital enemy to record what looks like being a strong contender for My Digital Enemy's next single. The song ' wasted' written by Mooli's Ben Copland, and featuring Clea Llewellyn on vocals, was given it's first airing on national radio on Judge Jules show on BBC radio 1, April 21st. The track is Judge Jules Record of the week, and looks certainty to be played on radio 1 again in the coming weeks.

New Mooli Single
Mooli will be releasing the song 'Easy' as a digital downloadable single on July 30th. The song recently got played on BBC Radio 2 Easter Chillout special with BIG Chill head honcho Pete Lawrence, and it was first heard on the critically acclaimed Chris Coco Compilation ' Electracoustic'.

Clea on XFM
Clea has been in to record a session on XFm , with Dub legend Jah Wobble, for the Exposure show with John Kennedy.

Bestival
Clea has confirmed that she will be performing at Bestival on the Isle of wight in September , with Jah Wobble.

More Live dates
Two dates have been announced for June. They are June 21st at project Blue in Maidstone, and June 26th at Islington Carling Bar Academy. In July, appear at the Small Nations Festival in Wales on July 14th, 2007.

Mooli tracks downloadable via Myspace
All 4 tracks from the 'One design' Ep can now be downloaded via Mooli's Myspace page for just 99c each. http://www.myspace.com/mooli

Che Guevara
New on Myspace is the track Che Guevara' . This is a live acoustic recording and is a sneak preview taken from the debut alum, Concubine. There is a video on youtube, of Clea performing the song in Cuba.
http://www.myspace.com/mooli  http://www.youtube.com/mooli. On a side note , there is a guy on You tube, who seems obsessed about Clea wearing a strap whilst playing her guitar, and has been writing comments to that effect both on Mooli's myspace page and Youtube.. The mind boggles.
